Rick and Katja Wright run their three photography businesses; Iris Boudoir, Iris Studios and Iris Imprints Photography, out of Iris Studios located in Milwaukee, WI’s stunning Historic Third Ward District.

Photographers since their teens, the Wright’s passion for portraits led them to leave their corporate careers to create Iris Imprints Photography, Inc. in 2012. Boudoir quickly became their genre of choice as they learned how empowering and transformative the experience they provide their Clients is. Iris Boudoir was born shortly after.

They opened Iris Studios in June of 2018 as the new home of Iris Boudoir, Iris Imprints Photography and Iris Studios Share.

Rick and Katja are both internationally published. His specialities include: advanced lighting techniques, composition and posing.  Rick is also a Gear-head who loves keeping up on advancements in tech and trying out new equipment and techniques. Katja excels at styling, advanced posing techniques, editing and retouching. A key to their success is helping clients feel comfortable in front of the lens. That connection helps capture natural expressions and the personality of each subject. They’re a solid team, complimenting each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

Together, they create stunning images that capture each client’s confidence, personality and beauty. Their goal with each client is always the same – to exceed expectations every time!

They teach throughout the year in hands-on workshops where they share what they’ve learned and perfected over the years.  Last year they taught over 30 workshops in Milwaukee, St Louis, Chicago and Antioch, IL. Their workshop and class attendees describe learning from the Wrights as, “fun, informative & inspiring” and the atmosphere as, “warm & welcoming.” When they’re not working as artists, they’re cheering on their three kids; Aubrey, Nadia and Grant or enjoying live music at a concert or festival.  You can learn more about Rick and Katja at www.irisboudoir.com and
